Curbside Garbage Cart

Local jurisdictions have contracts with franchised garbage companies to provide service for collection of garbage, recycling and yard debris for residences and businesses.

Some materials can’t be recycled or composted in our local programs. Items placed in the gray garbage cart do not get sorted to recover materials. These materials are buried in landfills. If you have more garbage than will fit in your cart, County Refuse Disposal Sites offer reuse, recycling and disposal options. Another option for reusable items is donation to thrift stores or charities. As the opportunities for reuse and recycling change constantly, use the "What would you like to recycle?" search function at the top of this web page and “Choose a topic” before throwing items away.
