Who's My Hauling Company?

Local jurisdictions have contracts with franchised hauling companies to provide service for collection of garbage, recycling, yard debris and food scraps, and motor oil/filters for residences and businesses. Please note that Zero Waste Sonoma is not a hauling company. Read more about our Joint Powers Authority here.

Remember that you are charged for the size of your garbage can. For residential customers, the 20-gallon mini-can is the smallest size available. That means if you divert your waste through recycling and composting, you’ll pay less for garbage. If you are inquiring about how a holiday affects your weekly pickup schedule or for other service related requests, contact the hauling company for your area.

Bulky item pickup and Community Cleanup Events

Bulky item pickup means that certain items such as mattresses, appliances, furniture, and electronics that cannot fit into the garbage cart or that need special handling will be picked up by appointment. This service is available for residential hauling company customers for a fee or at no cost. In addition, some communities offer free Curbside Cleanup Events. Visit Bulky Item Pickup web page.
