Celebrate Compost Awareness Week (May 3rd-9th) with the UC Master Gardeners of Sonoma County! Join us for two free virtual workshops on composting! Learn how to turn yard debris and kitchen scraps into wonderfully rich compost to use as a soil amendment or mulch in your garden. Discover the basics of composting and/or worm composting. Find a composting system that's right for you. In part 1, learn how to get started making a hot pile, including the materials you need, how to layer and ratio different nitrogen and carbon materials, and troubleshooting.
