There are two cork collection and recycling companies available for Sonoma County residents: ReCORK, located in Napa county, and Get Corks, located in Santa Rosa.
What are natural corks recycled into? Used corks are ground and can be recycled into flooring tile, building insulation, shoe soles, fishing rod handles, bulletin boards and soil products.
Do not put natural corks in the curbside compost cart because they contain glues and other binding materials that can't be composted. See below for locations that accept natural and synthetic corks for recycling or reuse, otherwise all corks should be disposed of in the garbage.
