REUSE GRANT

Zero Waste Sonoma is offering mini-grants of up to $300 for businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community groups toward the purchase of reuse infrastructure and/or services on a first come, first served basis.

  • This intake form must be completed thoroughly, and submitted using the button at the bottom of the page. Please also include the number and type of single-use items the purchased reusables will replace (so we can calculate landfill diversion and emissions savings from your participation in this grant program).
  • The business must email a scanned copy of their W-9 form including a wet signature to zws-foodware@sonoma-county.org (this is needed in order for us to issue reimbursement).
  • Eligible expenses for reusable food service ware may include, but are not limited to: baskets, plates, bowls, ramekins, cups, mugs, trays utensils, bulk dispensers, self-service bins, dishwashers, and payment to third-party support for reuse.
  • Businesses may also utilize this grant to cover costs of switching to reusable pallet bands, pallet wraps, u-boat covers, or round-trip totes for shipping/transport.
  • Establishing a rentable Party Kit with reusable food ware is another type of eligible expense. Learn more here: https://www.partykitnetwork.org/
  • Receipts must be submitted to zws-foodware@sonoma-county.org within 60 days of purchase.
  • Third party companies offering reusable food ware services that may be available to Sonoma County businesses include:
    • Sparkl Reusables: Custom-designed reusable foodware systems for institutional food service, events, grocery stores, and restaurants. Sparkl's services range from supplying containers and return systems to washing and delivery.
    • Green Mary: Eco-wares library available for use at events.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Funding is limited, and available only on a first come, first served basis. Every effort will be made to update or disable this page as needed, however Zero Waste Sonoma may not be held responsible if this funding runs out before you are reimbursed.

Download, fill out with wet signature, scan, and attach to your form submission below or email to zws-foodware@sonoma-county.org. This is necessary in order to receive reimbursement for eligible products/services.
