Holiday string lights

Holiday string lights, incandescent and LED, cannot be recycled in the blue curbside single-stream recycling cart. However, they can be recycled at County Refuse Disposal Sites and at Electronic (E-waste ) Recycling Events. Dispose of incandescent light bulbs in the garbage. Wire strands from solar string lights can also be recycled provided the solar panel and batteries are removed. Dispose of batteries properly through the Household Hazardous Waste Facility or retail options.
