Dispose of incandescent light bulbs, including halogen lamps and heat lamps, in the garbage. These cannot be thrown into the blue curbside recycling cart.
On the other hand, please note that fluorescent bulbs, like compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, have mercury in them and must be disposed as household hazardous waste. See links below for more information
