Electronic waste (E-waste) is a category of hazardous waste and must be disposed in accordance with State and Federal laws. E-waste is prohibited from landfill disposal and requires special handling. Components of E-waste, including metals, glass, and some plastics, can be recycled while other components like lead need to be separated to protect the environment.

Examples: TVs • Office equipment • Cell phones • Tablets • Printers • Computers • Laptops • Stereos • Game consoles • Cords • Medical equipment (CPAP and Bi-PAP machines)
Please remove batteries from devices prior to recycling. For proper disposal of batteries, see Household Hazardous Waste Facility for Residents
