Nursery plant pots

Nursery and plant pots cannot be recycled with curbside recycling.

Resuable plastic nursery pots can also be donated to locations listed below, including the County of Sonoma Jail Industries Plant Nursery program. If you have broken terra-cotta pots, they may be recycled at locations accepting terra-cotta shingles for recycling into road base.

For recycling commercial quantities, the Sonoma County Department of Agriculture organizes plastic container recycling events biannually (spring and fall). See listing below.
