Certified Unified Program Agencies (CUPA)

Certified Unified Program Agencies (CUPA) are hazardous waste regulatory agencies. If a business generates hazardous waste, it needs to be permitted and regulated by a CUPA. There are four different CUPA jurisdictions in Sonoma County. The City of Santa Rosa and the City of Petaluma regulate their own jurisdictions, while the City of Healdsburg regulates Healdsburg and Sebastopol, and the County's Permit Sonoma regulates the remaining jurisdictions.
