Reloadable and disposable razors are made of a mix of materials such as hard plastic handles and packaging, metal handles, steel blades, and soft plastic packaging. This complex mix of materials makes components of razors/packaging difficult to recycle. Gillette has partnered with TerraCycle and CVS to offer the World’s First National Razor Recycling program to help keep the estimated 2 billion discarded hard-to-recycle blades and razors from ending up in landfills each year.
