Edible Food Recovery Capacity Study 2022

August 11, 2022

In 2021, ZWS staff released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to find a contractor to conduct a Countywide Food Recovery Capacity Study. The contract was awarded to Abound Food Care. They were tasked with interviewing Commercial Tier 1 and Tier 2 Food Generators (defined under SB 1383) and Food Recovery Organizations and Services in all 10 jurisdictions of Sonoma County to understand real and perceived barriers to food donation and recovery. As part of the project, Abound also conducted a needs assessment.
