Carbon monoxide detectors

Carbon monoxide (CO) detectors do not contain radioactive material and can be disposed of in the garbage. While disposal is allowed, it is environmentally preferable to mail them back to manufacturers offering take-back programs. Please remove any batteries from devices before placing in the garbage.
